Solution :

Make sure you are using the proper, domain or Ip for your incoming (POP3) and outgoing (SMTP) servers. The username on our servers is your FULL email address.

Solution

The incorrect box was checked during setup. You will need to uncheck the "Logon using Secure Password Authentication" box.

Solution This problem can be caused several ways.

  • The SMTP port needs to be set to 25.
  • The POP3 port needs to be set to 110.
  • Make sure you are online.
  • Make sure you dont have a Windows or Norton Firewall installed and blocking the ports.
  • Most DSL carriers block port 25. You will need to use their email server for sending email.

Configure your firewall software to grant access to the Internet for the following files: For Outlook Express: Msimn.exe For Outlook: Outlook.exe By default, most e-mail clients have to have outbound access on port 110 and inbound access on port 25. For more information about the ports that communicate with your e-mail server, contact your ISP or system administrator.

Firewall software that has been known to cause this problem includes products by the following vendors:

  • ZoneLabs
  • Cisco
  • Cygate
  • Sonicwall
  • Freedom Security Zero Knowledge

If your antivirus solution includes an e-mail scanning feature, you may have to do additional configuration to use Outlook or Outlook Express with the antivirus e-mail scanning feature.
