- Will you custom design our website?

- Do you redesign an existing websites?

- Can you convert our website to a site that we can update?
Yes, we can convert your website, with the design still in place, to a WordPress site.
- How long will it take?
It takes, typically, 6-8 weeks to build a custom website on a WordPress platform. But this can be entirely dependent on how quickly you can respond to our requests and providing your content.
- Will we need to have a meeting to discuss the website?
In the majority of cases a meeting isn’t necessary and most of our websites are generally completed with contact via email and telephone only. We utilize an online project management tool to keep communications, tasks, and milestones visible. The site allows us to make sure that information and documents are visible by both parties.
We place suggested website designs onto the Internet in a private place where only you, your staff, and us can view the content. We then coordinate with you regularly to discuss the web designs and features in order that the website and functionality are exactly as you wish.
- Can I or my staff update the website?
Yes, we build our website on the WordPress platform that allows for you and your staff to update the website easily.
- What do you need from us to start?
We will need your deposit and a signed contract, your logo and any marketing materials you may possess, the domain name, any sites you like or dislike, and the name of your hosting account or if you’d like us to host it. We’ll send you a questionnaire for more details and to really clarify your needs and wants.
- What is your design and build process?
Designing phase.We custom design from scratch all of our websites. No templates are used unless you are choosing our budget version. We provide 2 mockup images of your website for you to review and we’ll make changes based on those discussions. We do not start coding until you are happy with the design.During the beta phase, the site will be placed online on our testing servers for your review. During this stage, typographical errors, design changes, and other corrections will be made according to the instructions of the client. Payment for the site must be made in full before the site will be moved to the client’s ISP.For e-commerce sites, you will have 10 days to submit final payment once the site is complete.
- In what format should I supply words and photographs about my business for my new website?
We ask that you provide text and photographs in electronic format and upload to our project management tool.
- Will you write the content for us?
Yes, we can write your website content. We would need you to help us a bit by completing a content questionnaire. We recommend that we write the content unless the content is already written and just needs some editing.
- Will you include website analytics?
We will install Google Analytics based on your company’s Google account that we create for you as well. You will have complete access to the account.
- Do I have to keep my website with you, or can I move it to another supplier to host it?
You may move your website to another web hosting service or another website designer at any time.
- Can you provide all our web design and hosting services?
Yes – we are your one stop company to provide all your web services. We can be your web development experts; we can register your domain name, design your website, provide your web hosting and arrange your email accounts for you.
- Can I get e-mail with my website?
Yes you can have email and you will probably wish you set-up several email addressed e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org.We do recommend that if you are going to need your email on many difference devices e.g. iPhone, laptop, PC, iPad, etc., that you utilize a hosted mail server that will allow you to sync your emails on each devices. Exchange server or Google Hosted Emails will allow you to manage your emails much easier.
- How much does it cost to have GlobalSpex build a web site?
We have learned in the past that it can be difficult to provide a static pricing scheme. We have worked to develop a starting point that will fit for your budget. We offer many services to develop a site suited to your needs.
- What are your payment terms?
A minimum deposit of fifty percent (50%) is required to start work. We will work with you if you need help with smaller payments.
- What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Google Checkout, Cash, U.S. checks, and U.S. money orders. All web hosting and monthly packages require a credit card.

- Do I need a secure SSL server?
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a program layer managing the security of message transmissions in a network. An SSL uses the public-and-private key encryption system. It protects your client’s personal information when it is being transmitted from one website to another.If a Web site is on an SSL server, SSL can be enabled and specific Web pages can be identified as requiring SSL access. - What are the risks associated with owning an e-commerce website?
E-commerce may require considerable capital outlay, ongoing costs, staff retraining and organizational restructuring — for the most committed organizations.You may not realize a return on investment for 2 – 3 years.
- Can you purchase my domain name for me?
Yes, just let us know which domains you are interested in and we can take care of it for you. We’ll be your domain’s custodians and make sure to renew it (them) each year.
- If you buy my domain name, who actually owns my domain name?
You are the owner of the domain name and will be registered as the legal owner.
- What is a domain name Registrar?
A domain name Registrar is a company that is authorized by ICANN to register and manage domain names. The Registrar is also responsible for creating and maintaining the information that is input in the public WhoIs domain name database. Examples of registrars are Godaddy, Register, and Network Solutions.
- What is DNS?
DNS stands for Domain Name Servers. DNS allows a domain name to resolve to the numeric IP address assigned by your hosting company. When you move hosting companies, you will need to update your DNS to ensure that the domain name points to the new web hosting company server.
- How long does it take to process a new domain name or to transfer an existing domain name?
Typically, domains can take up to 72 hours to process, but I’ve seen them propagate in a few hours. For domain transfers the start time begins when you approve the domain transfer.
